To celebrate its 21st anniversary, ticketing platform and electronic music magazine Resident Advisor released a limited-edition book called Sacred Spaces.
Sacred Spaces is an ode to the clubbing world by showcasing a myriad of text-based love letters dedicated to the whimsical dance floors and accompanying them with archive imagery.
Designed by RA’s in-house creative team and Berlin-based studio HelloMe, the book collects stories from 26 major-league players in the electronic music industry.
Writers, DJs, and artists such as Kevin Saunderson and Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy share precious moments through “love letters to night life,” as RA puts it.
Across the 216 pages, readers are taken on a visual journey through the archival rave photography exploring the underground essence, which is provided by the Museum of Youth Culture.
Sacred Spaces has seven different covers, each representing a city that is or has been home to RA offices, from London to Tokyo. Each copy – there are only 1,000 – comes with a limited-edition print by renowned British artist Jeremy Dellers.
All proceeds from Sacred Spaces sales will be donated to three registered charities: Choose Love, Bridges For Music, and Museum of Youth Culture.
