Music giant Amsterdam Dance Event set a new attendance record after more than 450,000 visitors descended on the Dutch city for the 2022 edition.
The five-day festival-meets-conference event concluded its 27th anniversary by quickly announcing dates for next year, which will take place from the 18th to the 22nd of October.
Also dubbed as the world’s largest conference for the business of dance music, ADE saw over 200 venues spread its electronic ethos, along with more than 2,500 artists and industry speakers. Roaring names from the music realm included Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, and Diplo.
As one of the world’s breeding grounds for rising talent and music culture, ADE’s 2022 edition focused on rebirthing the industry post-COVID-19. Panel talks and workshops included in-depth discussions and insights on how to tap into forward-thinking technologies.
Sustainability wasn’t out of the picture either, as ADE’s conference delivered panels and hands-on sessions on how to create an eco-friendly future. As part of its educational program, the Dutch event also awarded two music start-ups with six-figure investments.
ADE affirmed that more than 2,000 young artists, rising producers, and wannabe professionals attended the conference sessions.
Amsterdam Dance Event’s festival alter ego was also a crowd-pleaser. With over 1,000 venues, booming sound systems, and quirky locations, ADE’s parties were Amsterdam’s center of attraction for five days. Sold-out music events included nine Awakenings shows, the lusted-after AMF, and a line-up at the DGTL venue.
