BBF Barcelona Beach Festival kicked things off with their inaugural event, back in July, 2014. The festival took place at Platja del Fòrum, which has continued to be the only grounds the festival took place on throughout the years.

When it comes to line-ups, the 2014 festival edition showcased an impressive roster of local DJs. Performers included seasoned producer Juan Magán, and Brian Cross, who once was a resident DJ for Privilege Ibiza.

The festival wouldn’t be complete without featuring some of the biggest names in the EDM music scene. Making their BBF Barcelona Beach Festival the stage was rocked by electronic music legends, such as David Guetta, Avicii, and Steve Angello.

3. Platja del Fòrum is the home of BBF Barcelona Beach Festival

Platja del Fòrum is a beach situated north of Barcelona, just right next to the Port Fòrum marina. Only a 16-minute drive from the Barcelona City Center, the location is easily accessible by car.

Throughout the festival’s seven year-history, a couple of DJs have made repeat visits to BBF Barcelona Beach Festival. Artists like Hardwell and Axwell / Ingrosso have played in the festival for three years in a row from 2015-2017.

Meanwhile, David Guetta played four times from 2014-2016 and in 2018. The same goes for Armin van Buuren, who took the festival’s stage for four consecutive years, from 2017-2020.

If you missed your favorite DJ during a certain year, chances are they might come back to BBF Barcelona Beach Festival again in the future (fingers crossed!).

6. There are different kinds of tickets available

Does the sound of this festival sound tempting yet? BBF Barcelona Beach Festival features two different types of tickets General Admission and Premium ticket. 

The General Admission ticket will get you access to the site. On top of that, you are also going to receive credits – make use of them at the bar

8. Minors can watch BBF Barcelona Beach Festival – with a catch

Do you know any young EDM fans? Minors below the age of 16 can watch BBF Barcelona Beach Festival – provided they have a parent or guardian to accompany them.

Minors can enter the venue under the same conditions as adults. Plus, they don’t require constant accompanying throughout the entire duration of the event. But, the adult or guardian who brought them needs to fulfill the taking care of a kid at a festival responsibility.

If you’re bringing a minor with you, they’re required to carry a bracelet showing they’re not allowed to buy items like alcohol or cigarettes. The minor must wear this bracelet at all times. This way, the committee ensures the safety of the BBF Barcelona Beach Festival for anybody below 16.
