2. Bass Canyon festival is Excision’s baby

Canadian music producer and DJ Excision created Bass Canyon festival as a natural extension of his passion for bass. Established in 2018, Bass Canyon was born after the success of Lost Lands festival in Ohio – the other maiden music festival put together by Excision.

In association with The Gorge Amphitheatre and Live Nation, Excision endeavored to bring the best of bass to Washington.

3. Bass Canyon festival is all about the sound and stage

Being a bass music fest, it is obvious that the beats need to be clean and sharp. And at Bass Canyon, it is all about blasting the rocks.

Excision partnered with PK Sound to wreak sonic havoc upon the site with its 500,000 watts sound systems . It was a no-brainer for the DJ who has associated with the brand since the start of his music career.

The other mega attraction at Bass Canyon is the stage production,as well as the visuals. Known for building the most jaw-dropping stage sets and visuals, The Paradox elevates the Bass Canyon festival to a spectacular visual splendor.

4. Bass Canyon is set against a ravishing backdrop

At Bass Canyon festival, it is not just the stage that is eye candy – the natural background and setting of the location are attention grabbers as well. Set by the Columbia River Gorge, the site offers striking sunsets.

One cannot be surprised by the fact that the festival bagged top honors at Pollstar magazine’s award for ‘Best Outdoor Music Venue’ nine years in a row.

It was also crowned as the ‘Best Outdoor Concert Venues in America by Concert Boom.

5. Bass Canyon festival has hassle-free lineups

Concerts at the Bass Canyon festival have been smoothly organised, thanks to the festival’s single-stage. Because of this, there is a clear and fluent schedule for artists, eliminating the chance for clashes of titans, that happens in some of the other festivals.

The upside? Superb DJ collabs and multiple B2B sets, especially by Excision. Talking about free-flowing music.

This also helps festival goers to stay relaxed at one spot, instead of chasing around different stages.

The festival organises yoga sessions, guided meditation, flow art sessions, bingo, postcard stations, field games, and a lot more during the daytime.

There is also a silent disco party that starts every night, after the concerts end at midnight – and continues till sunrise.

7. Head early to catch the pre-party shindig

It’s double the dose of music at Bass Canyon, with the party starting even before the festival begins. Pre-Party gigs begin a day before the festival starts, and according to insider info, that’s not something to miss either.

But prepare well ahead to reach the venue in time. Long queues of cars, security and COVID checks can hold up the entry, so if you buy the Pre-Party tickets, you need to arrive quickly or risk missing it.

Besides, there’s nothing like donning psychedelic hues against the rustic natural setting. Fishnets, tassels, stickers, glitter – this is where you can go the whole hog and get your festive fashion on fleek.
