Why go to the Caribbean when you can dwell in the sounds of reggae in Atlanta, Georgia?
Operating since the 1930s, this veteran club entertained notable public figures Muhammed Ali, and the one and only, Martin Luther King. Guess who else made appearances? Ray Charles and Marvin Gaye performed at the prominent nightclub. Royal Peacock was renovated back in 2021 and has since been a nightlife magnet.
The club is on Auburn Avenue in northeast Atlanta. Royal Peacock took the place of an old theater and turned it into a spectacle of its own. The Atlanta nightclub has comfortable lounges in a sea of red and black checkered tiles adding a mysterious aura to the venue. There is also a pool table where you can have friendly clashes with your friends.
The club’s main focus is reggae and dancehall but can also be heard playing some occasional pop music.
The nightclub brings in a collection of laid-back party people appreciative of Caribbean heritage and culture. Make sure to put on your comfiest dance shoes as you might just overstay the night!
If you want a taste of the Caribbean Carnival, head to Royal Peacock Lounge. Bonus point: you can say you partied where Martin Luther King once did.
