The Church is the city’s prestigious gothic-themed nightspot featuring alternative music.

Established in 1994 by founder Don Nedler, The Church was inside the now-shuttered Lizard Lounge in the Swiss Avenue historic district, where it first began. It later moved to the same building that houses It’ll Do nightclub in east Dallas’s Old East Dallas community.

Exclusively open on Sunday nights, The Church nightclub is not loyal to any music genre. This alternative venue plays ambient sounds, neo-gothic, 80’s synth-pop, New Wave and Dance music, Classic Industrial, EBM,  electro, and dark house.

Whether you’re a Boomer or a Gen-Z, this is the place that blurs the boundaries and unites everyone under the pure love of everything goth. Unsure of what to wear? Try an all-black outfit.

If having fun is your only agenda, this underground club is the place to leave your inhibitions behind. With a unique atmosphere fuelled by bumpy beats and sexy afterparties, The Church’s gothic haven is the place to be.
