Sound is an underground electronic music nightclub featuring art installations and a Funktion-One sound system.
Launching in 2012, founder Kobi Danan opened Sound nightclub in the heart of the Hollywood neighborhood in central Los Angeles. As is obvious from the club’s name, the main focus of this venue is the sound quality and DJ lineups. Sound nightclub boasts a Funktion-One sound system accompanied by cutting-edge 3D mapping visuals.
Sound’s raw and industrial-style interior complements the underground deep house, drum and bass, and techno genres that the venue features. While this Hollywood nightclub has hosted big-name DJs like Afrojack, Kaskade, and Markus Schulz, owner Danan emphasizes emerging alternative talent within the electronic music scene.
Unlike the flashy nightclubs that line Hollywood nightlife, Sound’s crowd isn’t a designer-label-wearing pretentious clientele. Instead, low-profile electronic music lovers stop by from near and far.
