Slakthuset is Stockholm’s brilliant EDM retreat.
Established in 2015, Slakthuset is located in an old slaughterhouse in Slakthusområdet – Stockholm’s Meatpacking District in the central part of the city. It is one of the largest urban development areas in Stockholm. In a tribute to its past avatar, the club has maintained the slaughterhouse feel in its interiors.
Slakthuset is known for its pulsating music from electronic dance music, house, and techno to hip-hop and R&B. The club, thus, beckons bass-heads who constitute a young and boisterous lot of mostly locals.
With an indoor floor space of 1,000 square meters and a rooftop of 600 square meters called Tak that opens in summer, it has three dance floors and clubs playing music from different genres. It showcases some of the most gifted local DJs and accomplished international names as well.
The advanced VOID acoustics sound system is a highlight at this club that makes the place reverberate with the music. It can house up to 1,000 guests indoors, and another 1,000 on its terrace.
