Rumpus Room is home to the wildest parties in the heart of the city.
In operation since 2015, co-owners Gabriel Levy and Jahan Salarimatin are the masterminds behind Rumpus Room nightclub. Located in downtown Manhattan’s Lower East Side neighborhood, this eclectic nightclub is named after the British word for children’s playroom. Housed in a plain nondescript brick building, nothing on its exterior gives any indication of the burst of color and patterns within.
The inspiration behind the club’s design came from a French club with a funky 80s theme featuring leopard and zebra print.
Rumpus Room club has walls made from bamboo, burnt wood panels, and green leaf wallpaper. Zebra-printed chairs and a copper bar top imbue the space with vibrant energy. The funky and eclectic decor sets Rumpus Room apart from other nightclubs in the area.
Rumpus Room is exclusively open on Fridays and Saturdays, featuring the hottest pop, electronic, and hip-hop hits. Unlike the other stuffy nightclubs that characterize the neighborhood, Rumpus Room prides itself on being an inclusive space where everyone is welcome.
With a unique atmosphere fuelled by bumpy beats and afterparties, Rumpus Room is the place to be.
