Primary Nightclub is a love letter to Chicago’s house and techno music scene.
The club closed back in 2017 and reopened in late 2021. The re-launching was a spectacle to behold with headliner Ron Carroll. Music producer and owner of the club, Derek Specs, hand-picks talents to showcase at his acclaimed nightclub.
Primary Night Club is in close proximity to Lake Michigan on Gold Coast, a luxury neighborhood with aesthetically pleasing architecture. Fun fact: it was home to the former Playboy Mansion. The club is spread over the ground floor of a building and has an industrial aesthetic.
The club is a raver’s fantasy. Expect to hear sub-genres of house and techno and blended sounds of electronic music. Primary Night Club’s sound system provided by Meyer is just the cherry on top. The Chicago club has hosted impressive DJs like – the one and only – Nicholas Jaar.
It is safe to say that Primary Night Club has a hold on young ravers all over Chicago. Dress the part and you shall mingle with the crowd.
