If you’re looking for a truly entertaining night, Oz Club is where you can enjoy a frenzy-fuelled night of drag performances, go-go dancers, and cabaret shows.
This LGBTQI+ venue opened its doors in 1993 and has established itself as “New Orleans #1 Gay Dance Club.” Oz nightclub transferred ownership to Mike Motwani, who won a bidding war for the property in 2015.
Located in the French Quarter, downtown New Orleans, this brick building is wrapped on the corner of Bourbon Street. Featuring elaborate iron balconies and shuttered windows that characterize the neighborhood’s architecture, this two-floor venue forms an integral part of the city’s LGBTQI+ culture.
Inside, arched brick walkways are illuminated by laser lights and disco balls. The iron balcony exteriors are seamlessly brought into the building.
On Oz’s stage, you can expect a dynamic, entertaining atmosphere with Strip Off parties, Drag Bingo, and Show Nights.
The music at Oz Club is predominantly electronic, enhancing the high-energy performances on stage. Partygoers can catch a breather on the second-floor balcony overlooking the famous Bourbon Street.
Although frequented mainly by gay men, Oz opens its heart to people of all genders and identities.
Oz Club is a name that has etched itself in the annals of New Orleans’ nightlife history. This is a place you need to check off your list on your next visit to the city.
