If you worship rock and roll, Madame is a gothic-themed nightspot featuring alternative rock music.
Originally founded in 1983 under the name Madame Sata. After closing down, the club was renovated and re-launched as Madame in 2012.
Madame is located in Bixiga, central Sao Paulo, a fashionable area with Italian restaurants, trendy cafes, and the Sao Paulo Museum of Art. Vintage chandeliers, exposed brick walls, and gargoyle sculptures all contribute to the overall gothic aesthetic of this nightlife venue.
Madame Underground Club plays everything related to rock, like vintage rock from the 80s, British rock, punk rock, and gothic rock.
If you enjoy bands like the Pixies, The Cult, Sister of Mercy, and Depeche Mode, this nightclub is your retreat.
Besides rock music, Madame also blasts electronic body music and synthpop on specific days. Madame is a place that blurs the boundaries and unites everyone in the pure love of rock and roll. If you’re unsure of what to wear, try an all-black outfit to blend right in with the crowd.
With its underground aura and a state-of-the-art sound system, Madame is the way to relish an ineffable Sao Paulo night to the fullest.
