Hatchi emulates Japan’s nightlife in Jakarta.
The club resides in the upscale Pondok Indah neighborhood of South Jakarta, a highly sought-after residential area known for its shopping centers, golf courses, and spas.
The Japanese-inspired decor is reflected in the fake cherry blossom vines and red lanterns hanging above the bar. Japanese art lines the walls, and an intimate dance floor is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Hatchi’s first floor is a restaurant, while the second level is a bar with a DJ booth and a dance floor.
International and Indonesian pop hits draw crowds dominated by young locals and friends. The Jakarta native model Agatha Pricilla was spotted singing on stage at Hatchi.
While many clubs are centered in central and North Jakarta, Hatchi is the epicenter of nightlife in the South and a must-stopover for those looking for eclectic clubbing experiences.
