When you think of chic and alternative nightclubs, Fosfobox Bar Club’s underground parties should immediately pop into your head.
Fosfobox Bar Club first opened doors in 2004 inside a shopping mall. Founders Carlos Alberto de Araújo and Felipe Travassos are the masterminds behind Fosfobox. Nonetheless, the Brazilian nightclub sits in the Copacabana neighborhood south of downtown, just a few blocks from the world-famous Balneario beach.
Inside, a color palette of black-and-white checkered tile paired with a red wall gives the space a retro feel. With a bare, metal grate staircase separating the two floors, Fosfobox Copacabana owns its industrial look.
Depending on the day, a mix of pop and electronic plays downstairs, while a range of indie rock, reggaeton, funk, rock, trap, or techno thumps upstairs. It’s no surprise that nearly every genre is played on their high-quality sound system.
Catering to a wide selection of music is an equally varied selection of clubbers at Fosfobox nightclub. Attracting a younger, subculture-following crowd, Fosfobox Rio de Janeiro is an LGBT-friendly place where everyone is looking to have a good time.
Show off your dance moves as you groove to various music genres. Fosfobox Bar Club provides a unique underground atmosphere that will leave you coming back for more.
