Fortune Sound Club is renowned for its state-of-the-art sound system and live shows, making it one of the peppiest nightclubs in Vancity.
Formerly called the Royal Unicorn Cabaret, Fortune Sound Club was founded in 2009 by Garret ‘GMan’ Louie & Rob Rizk who have over 20 years of experience as promoters, DJs, and respected fixtures in Vancouver’s local scene. What was once a tiny Chinese restaurant tucked away in the alleys of Chinatown in Vancouver is now the city’s only Funktion One-laden hotspot, Fortune Sound Club.
Centrally located in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown and a walking distance from Granville St. in north Vancouver, Fortune Sound Club seamlessly combines grunge and boldness with clean and modern in its architecture.
The hipster space features an amazing 60 ft installation at the entrance going all the way up the stairs. It is designed by American contemporary artist, activist, and founder of OBEY Clothing, Shepard Fairey, which makes Fortune Sound Club the ideal venue for art and fashion shows, private events, and even a night out with the guys.
From R&B and hip-hop to rock, deep house, and dubstep, Fortune Sound Club is home to a diverse range of audiophiles.
