The club was established in 2018, finding its home in a two-story building in Jack London Square, west of Oakland. Disregarding all interior designers’ unsaid rules, Elbo Room Jack London has damask patterned walls, a shiny chandelier on the one hand, and skeletons, skulls, and dragon statues on the other. The dim lights of Elbo Room Jack London give the quirky decor an emo feel.
The nightclub’s DJs spin punk, rock, hip-hop, soul, cumbia, metal, deathrock, funk, darkwave, and anything that will have you playing air guitars. With the occasional drag and burlesque performances, Elbo Room Jack London is a club you don’t want to miss.
