Der Kindergarten will take you on a trip to the German underground scene with its dark aura and choice of music.
Born in 2006, Der Kindergarten is a stone’s throw away from San Donato, northeast of Bologna. It is inside an old warehouse featuring exposed brick murals and colorful graffiti. During the day, the venue hosts sports activities like kickboxing, but as the sun sets, it transforms into an energetic nightlife hotspot.
Spanning two rooms, Der Kindergarten showcases a gritty and grungy ambiance with two cozy dance floors, dim lighting, red walls, and stainless steel nets separating the console from the dance floor in the main room.
The club is the epitome of Bologna’s underground music scene, with everything ranging from bullet-hard techno beats and hardcore to acid, goa music, and rock. It prides itself on scoring heart-thumping live performances and sets by established local artists and top-notch DJs like Peggy Gou.
