Blue Nile is a renowned club in New Orleans and an integral part of the city’s nightlife scene.

First opened along Frenchmen Street, the Blue Nile is located just downriver from the famous French Quarter neighborhood in downtown New Orleans. Owner Jesse Paige has re-opened the famous nightclub after the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on live music venues have eased.

The club is housed in a historic two-floor building erected in 1832, rumored to be the first constructed on Frenchmen Street. Blue Nile’s exteriors are painted blue and red with colorful flags hanging off the second-floor balcony.

The blue exteriors of Blue Nile nightclub extend inside with walls painted in the same hue, illuminated by blue and purple lighting. A galaxy ceiling above the bar transports clubbers into a different dimension. Upstairs, a large balcony overlooks the street.

The Blue Nile invites multi-genre music lovers to partake in its immersive experience, hosting a mix of funk, blues, soul, and Brass bands on stage. Renowned artists Kermit Ruffins, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, and Soul Rebels Brass Band have performed at Blue Nile. On Thursday nights, DJs frequently spin reggae and Afro beats.

From locals to tourists, the club is a mandatory stop-over for clubbers of all types, with the music making the crowd thump to a common rhythm.

With killer music performances by the best local and international artists, funky blue interiors, and a groovy dance floor–Blue Nile is the place to be.
