Berlin is a wonderland of avant-garde shenanigans.
Berlin has been taking Chicago by storm since its opening in 1983. Established by Jim Schuman and Jo Webster, partners in life and business, they pride themselves in their ability to house a safe space for the LGBT+ community in Chicago.
The LGBT+ nightclub is nested in Lake View, Chicago. The neighborhood is in the north of the city and is an artistic and cultural epicenter flooded with theaters and entertainment venues. Berlin is in a retail building with stores on either side of the nightclub.
From the outside, it may look like the average nightclub; however, its interior matches its quirky vibe perfectly with neon lights and pop-culture posters decorating the venue.
The nightclub plays wide-ranging music and hosts drag shows on Saturdays. Intimate, open, and carefree is how we’d describe the general atmosphere at the Chicago nightlife hub.
Berlin is by the community for the community. Be whoever you want to be and bring your friends along. Two rules apply: no bigotry and no shoes.
Want to be your most authentic, unmasked self? Berlin is the place to be.
