Revel in the lively dynamism of Raspoutine Paris, an extravagant haven for luxury.

Since its inception as a Russian cabaret in 1965, Raspoutine has gone on to become one of the most sought-after and remarkable clubs in all of Paris.

Located in the affluent Golden Triangle, near Louis Vuitton Maison Champs Élysées of northwest Paris, Raspoutine exudes luxurious sophistication. Velvet furniture and lavish chandeliers create an opulent atmosphere that amplifies its glitzy vibrancy.

Raspoutine is renowned for its sensational set-lists of deep house music that always get the dance floor hopping.

It’s no wonder why celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kanye West have been known to party the night away here – this nightclub offers an unmatched level of exclusivity and wildness, coupled with a touch of chic.

Without a shadow of doubt, Raspoutine club has elevated Paris nightlife to an ethereal level of mystery and extravagance.

Here is everything you need to know about Raspoutine Paris.

Rasputin was a Russian monk

The club was named after famous mystical pilgrim Grigori Rasputin. Known for his dealings with the Russian royal family, Rasputin was a peasant-turned-mad-monk that Czar Nicholas II of Russia took under his wing as an advisor.

Although he had no direct connection to the church and a debauched lifestyle, Rasputin was able to influence the last days of the Czar, his wife and son, when the first World War broke.

Vocal group Boney M. even delivered a mini-lesson about Grigori through the now-iconic disco tune Rasputin

The club has become a clubbing landmark

The decadent Parisienne clubbing destination first opened its doors in 1965 as a cabaret venue with a Russian twist. At least this is what ‘Empress of the night’ Hélène Martini envisioned for her quirky venue.

The off-the-wall theatrical setting and top-notch performances catapulted Raspoutine Paris into the stratosphere of ‘it’ nightlife venues. Naturally, the nightclub won a demanding Parisian and international clientele.

Thanks to its roaring success, Martini adopted a more inclusive nightlife approach for her quirky clubbing mecca by extending opening hours and throwing nightclub-specific features into the mix.

Fast forward to today, Raspoutine is such a lusted-after Paris party destination that it might as well become an NFT.

The club is Russian-themed

Nothing screams Russia more than a luxury bordello embellished with velvet plush sofas, Byzantine-style interiors, and gold embroidery.

That type of decor could teleport you from anywhere right in Russia’s heart – this is exactly what the iconic Raspoutine does.

When Martini first opened the nightclub as a cabaret venue, only one person could build her vision of an exuberant universe where nightlife entertainment and artistic performances mesh seamlessly.

Martini’s friend Erté was the one who proudly introduced deep red as the Raspoutine’s predominant color while putting Russian architectural elements on a pedestal.

Raspoutine’s door policy is quite selective

Just like any other club of its caliber, the Parisian clubbing destination is a pro at curating the size and look of its crowds. Bouncers can get très selective when it comes to who gets in and who gets asked to step aside.

Dress up, look fab and ooze that Raspoutine vibe – this is the holy trinity that will guarantee a shoo-in.

Erté created the venue’s interior

When designing Raspoutine Paris’ interior, French visionary Erté had a difficult mission – representing the Russian cabaret in the City of Love.

Bringing the Eastern Bloc’s industrial structure to an exquisite and glitzy aesthetic was no easy feat, but Erté made it look like it was a hobby.

Using a seductively debauching setting, the Parisian artist added grimy elements, such as wolf skin, wooden bars, and wall decorations. Voilà, you got Moscow in Paris’ heart.

Raspoutine Paris is a celebrity hotbed

Leonardo Dicaprio, Kanye West and Neymar walk into a bar. No, this is not your average bar joke – it is just another night at Raspoutine Paris.

With half a century of party planning under its belt, clubbing sessions and VIP treatments under its belt, it is no secret that Raspoutine hosted many A-list names.

Even back when it first opened its doors, the Parisian nightclub was no stranger to famous faces – it was one of Marlene Dietrich’s favorites. It comes as no surprise that Raspoutine continues to carry its legacy as the ‘it’ clubbing location in Paris.

Paris is known for fashion, but so is Raspoutine

The former cabaret hosts the most spectacular Fashion Week afterparties. Raspoutine is the mythical palace where glitz, glam and chic reign supreme, making it the go-to location for anything and everything fashion-related.

Back in 2016, the Parisian nightclub organized a socially-vibrant afterparty in honor of the long-awaited Fashion Week.

Should we also mention Raspoutine is a stone’s throw away from the ultimate destination for any avid fashion lover, Champs-Élysées? It can’t get any more fashionable than that.

Restaurant before 11 PM, nightclub by midnight

Although Raspoutine’s clientele falls all in the posh category, the nightclub knows that every Parisian and international pleasure-seeker is unique. This is part of the reason why it adopts a 360 approach to nightlife entertainment.

If you are an early bird and head to Raspoutine before the clock ticks 11 PM, you’ll be able to relish in some delish Russian dishes – yes, authentic vodka and jaw-dropping burlesque performances are included in the package.

But once the clock passes 11 PM, Raspoutine transforms into an electro-pop music temple.

Raspoutine Paris can fit around 500 people inside

The nightclub changes its maximum capacity, depending on Raspoutine’s mood and schedule. It can only accommodate 100 individuals during dinner time, but it doubles the number if it’s a cocktail night.

However, if you use the venue at its maximum capacity, it can hold up to 500 people.

The venue’s VIP allure attracts an upscale audience

Epic music calls for epic crowds – this is why Raspoutine drives an upscale clientele towards clicking the book table button.

The glitzy hype surrounding the Parisian gem is massive enough to attract lovers of caviar, cabaret and all things luxury from all over the globe. Local businessmen, politicians and models won’t be out of crowd pictures either.

Not to mention that if seeing a celebrity while clubbing is at the top of your bucket list, Raspoutine Paris might be able to tick that off for you.
