As darkness falls, LIV Miami transforms into a paradise of clubbing, abounding with magnums of champagne and designer labels.

Established by David Grutman in 2008, LIV Miami quickly surged to become the fifth most successful nightclub across the United States in 2014. Situated within Mid-Beach of South Beach near downtown Miami – renowned for its opulent condominiums and top-notch oceanfront hotels – this club offers a lavish experience that you won’t forget.

Located in the historic Fontainebleau Hotel, first opened in 1954, LIV Nightclub is a one-of-a-kind experience. With its curved ceiling and strobe lights that cast an otherworldly glow over the dance floor, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to outer space.

Exclusive seating options provide maximum comfort and luxury, elevating your experience at the club to a whole new level of sophistication.

When you visit LIV nightclub, the night can bring either a dance party with top-rated EDM DJs or an electrifying hip-hop set performed by renowned rap stars.

Notable rappers such as French Montana, Drake, Quavo and Migos have all made headlines for performing at this venue. Electronic DJs Alan Walker, the Chainsmokers, Kygo and deadmau5 are just a few of the other big names who have taken their music to LIV’s stage.

With a star-studded roster of guests every evening, it’s no surprise that LIV Miami is the place to be for elite patrons. George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn have all been seen in this nightlife hotspot, making it one of the most coveted nightclubs in town.

The ‘secret king of Miami’ founded the club in 2008

Infamous entrepreneur David Grutman – also known as the ‘secret king of Miami’ – has been involved in the nightlife industry scene since the 1990s, kick-starting his career as a bartender.

Grutman managed to work his way up and create Groot Hospitality, which owns several mega clubs and restaurants around Miami.

But his ultimate money-making brainchild is LIV Miami, which opened its doors back in 2008.

During its inaugural year, LIV hosted the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty

If that’s not the kick-start that would attract green-eyed glances, we don’t know what will.

When LIV was still a blip on Miami’s map of bustling and glitzy clubbing destinations, it hosted the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’s afterparty in 2008.

As if Miami wasn’t sizzling enough with the influx of supermodels like Adriana Lima and Heidi Klum, the event brought an onslaught of personality names, A-list celebs, and business owners.

This was not an average afterparty – the partying session laid the foundation for what became one of clubland’s most roaring names.

The massive club can hold up to 1,100 clubbers

As Miami’s ultimate crown jewel for everything nightlife-related, it is no surprise that LIV has a jaw-dropping capacity of 1,100 people.

Despite this, LIV is notorious for door rejections, with hefty queues getting turned away on a regular basis.

The venue spans across a flabbergasting 30,000 sq ft, divided between six VIP areas, a glitzy (and uber-exclusive) lounge, a massive dance floor and three full-service bars.

LIV Miami underwent a $10 million upgrade

Following its first decade of lavish clubbing anniversary, LIV underwent a whopping $10 million renovation.

During 2017’s summer, the hegemonic nightlife force closed its doors – but for a good reason. Its major – and costly – upgrade raised the bar for Miami’s nightlife. In fact, it catapulted LIV to new heights that, at that time, were untouched by other Miami venues.

Unmatched light shows, state-of-the-art sound systems and an off-the-wall redesign brought the nightclub back stronger than ever.

No upgrade would be complete without a robotically controlled chandelier – or at least this was LIV’s revamping mantra. Among the changes brought on by the renovation was the installation of a central dome with steel trusses.

The icing on the cake? The chandelier’s moves will sync with the music.

The design features a voyeuristic concept

LIV’s architectural style is anything but average. Built upon a ‘voyeuristic’ concept, the interior delivers the VIP treatment to every clubber who passes through its doors. No matter where you are in the club, a view of the entire venue is always guaranteed.

Banquette areas and private skyboxes featuring bottle service also deliver a bird’s-eye-view of the clubbing gem.

LIV Miami has welcomed superstar acts to its stage

Superstar performances are far from being an uncanny sight at LIV Miami. After all, the clubbing mecca has morphed into one of the most lusted-after nightlife experiences on the globe.

Elite DJs from the electronic realm such as Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, and Marshmello have all taken over LIV’s audio decks.

But the club’s stellar reputation for unforgettable beats doesn’t stop at EDM. Rappers like Flo Rida, Lil Yachty and Soulja Boy are just some of the names that graced the venue with jaw-dropping performances.

Celebrities don’t just perform – they’re guests too

Leonardo Dicaprio, George Clooney, Mark Cuban and Jay Z enter a nightclub. No, this is not a bar joke. It’s your average clubbing night at LIV. Those A-list celebs might not scratch the surface of LIV’s endless list of legendary guests, but they didn’t hold back.

Mark Cuban celebrated the championship of his NBA team Dallas Mavericks by ordering a $90,000 bottle of champagne. Jay Z reportedly spent $250,000 on bottles of champagne to celebrate his Watch the Throne album release.
