The original Hakkasan was a restaurant in London

This should come as no surprise considering its founder, Alan Yau, is one of the British capital’s most influential chefs and restaurant entrepreneurs.
The main source of inspiration behind the clubbing destination’s name was Yau’s childhood.
Through the name Hakkasan, the entrepreneur paid homage to his roots. Yau and his family are originally from China, so when they immigrated to British lands, they were considered ‘hakka’. The second part of the name – ‘san’ – is a title used to show a deep respect towards a person in Japan.
Hakkasan Las Vegas spans across five stories
Embodying some mini-festival vibes, Hakkasan is also dubbed as the largest Las Vegas club. But just like any other trailblazer, the party temple didn’t stop at one title – Hakkasan also ranks amongst the biggest clubs in the United States.
