Shamone Club is everyone’s favorite gay club in the city.
Opened in 1955, Shamone is in the cultural hub of Gazi, central Athens. From the outside, the club looks like an old-school American diner. But once you step inside, the venue’s interior design has a glam aesthetic, filled with neon lights, chandeliers, and plants, making the atmosphere vibrant.
Shamone Club plays a selection of all genres, including Greek music and some cheeky electronic tunes courtesy of the club’s DJ. Because of its diversity, the club has a range of audiences, mainly local Greeks and tourists.
This eclectic club is celebrated for its live performances, with entertaining drag shows filling the stage. If you’re looking for somewhere else quiet, you can move to the terrace as you sip one of the nightclub’s signature cocktails.
