Cross Club is an intersection of art and culture as well as a wide range of musical styles and genres.
The club was founded in 2002 by František Sádra Chmelík and a small group of friends. It is located in the intriguing Holešovice, which is a hub of experimental theaters and numerous restaurants and pubs in northern Prague. The club is spread across three floors of an apartment building and is easily recognizable thanks to the fascinating mechanical artworks exhibited outside.
The diversity of music genres that this club presents is one of Cross Club’s greatest features. A diverse clientele flocks to this Prague club and enjoys a variety of music genres including dub, reggae, house, techno, drum and bass, and punk rock.
Cross Club is home to some of the greatest local and international bands and artists in the music industry, showcasing unconventional live performances ranging from dubstep to hardcore.
Aside from the music, the place also pushes the traditional boundaries of clubbing by presenting cross-genre alternative culture with authors reading their works, gabfests, and movie screenings, among other entertainment programs. This eclectic club has been a major nightlife spot in Prague, earning a stellar reputation not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad.
